Chapter 226 - The Conspiracy of the Blood Race

Amy's heart hung in a delicate balance. Even the slightest hesitation from Loong Chen could result in her demise.

“Once I conclude my affairs, I'll escort you back to the eastern continent,” Loong Chen reassured in a tender tone, easing Amy's countenance.

Amy visibly relaxed at Loong Chen's words.

“By the way, please share what transpired,” Loong Chen gently prompted.

With Amy composed, Loong Chen quietly sought out the mutated tiger for information.

He chose not to inquire of Amy directly, fearing it might evoke distressing memories.

Eventually, Loong Chen and the mutated tiger's souls connected on a profound level. Though the tiger couldn't articulate in human language, they communicated through shared consciousness.

“Master, some time ago, the Leopard discovered Blood Race activity nearby and alerted City Lord Aaron,” the mutated tiger conveyed.

“Given the recent turmoil in neighboring cities, City Lord Aaron foresaw the impending danger upon learning of the Blood Race's presence,” it continued.

“Despite this, unwilling to forsake the populace of Polish City, he entrusted us with Amy's safety while he resolved to stay and defend the city,” the tiger elaborated.

Recounting the situation, the mutated tiger provided Loong Chen with a comprehensive overview, prompting a furrowed brow from him.

Loong Chen recognized the entanglement of this affair with the Blood Race.

In that instant, he was suddenly reminded that the inhabitants of Polish City were all desiccated corpses, drained entirely of blood.

Wasn't this the hallmark of the Blood Race?

But what drove them to massacre Polish City and its environs?

Loong Chen couldn't discern the rationale, nor was he inclined to dwell on it. Regardless, his objective remained the eradication of the Blood Race.

“Tiger, Leopard, stay here and safeguard Amy. I'll return shortly.”

Loong Chen instructed. Both the Tiger and Leopard nodded in understanding. They inferred Loong Chen's intent.

Yet, they made no attempt to dissuade him. Loong Chen was their master, and in his presence, obedience was paramount.

Loong Chen had intended to inform Amy of his departure. Her sense of security had only returned upon his arrival, but perhaps due to recent fatigue, she had already succumbed to slumber.

He chose not to disturb her rest. Leaving behind a note, he assured her of his imminent return before swiftly departing.

Arriving on the ground, he was greeted by the Flaming Eagle Owl and Phoenix.

“Let's proceed; we'll make straight for the Blood Race's stronghold.”

Loong Chen directed the Flaming Eagle Owl. Observing his solemn countenance, the Flaming Eagle Owl wasted no time, leading the way.

Hastening at full throttle, they reached the city's zenith in less than ten minutes.

Peering downward, Loong Chen observed another Death City. Desiccated cadavers littered the terrain below.

“Elder brother, this is the city harboring the headquarters of the Blood Race. I never imagined they'd spare not even the inhabitants,” the Flaming Eagle Owl lamented.

With a sigh, the Flaming Eagle Owl continued.

The Blood Race stood as one of the most formidable extraneous races in the western continent. Many human settlements opted for submission.

This city, once a vassal to the Blood Race, served as their bastion.

The Blood Race's callousness exceeded expectations, even extending to their own kin.

Utilizing divine psychokinesis, Loong Chen surveyed the city. It wasn't long before he pinpointed a Bloody Castle reigning at its heart.

Within resided the Blood Race.

Yet, upon reaching the apex of the Bloody Castle with his divine psychokinesis, Loong Chen was momentarily taken aback.

Arranged meticulously were several coffins, adorned with intricate patterns on the floor, resembling a vast array.

Seated at the array's center was a figure, legs crossed in meditation.
