Chapter 65: Chapter 66: Crying Until Going Blind_l

Translator: 549690339

One day, Black Wind bit through his ropes and ran out of the stable. Upon hearing the sound of hooves, Su Zixuan hastily rushed out without bothering to put on his hat or scarf.

Black Wind was quick. Following the path out of the village, he charged forward joyfully. It was a cold night and the road was icy.

The young colt didn’t notice, he stepped on a floating ice and slipped, his four legs gave way, and he tumbled into a ditch, falling helplessly.

Upon hearing the painful neighs of the young colt, Su Zixuan’s eyes welled with tears of distress.

He slid down snow slope to bottom of the valley. Holding the colt, who had injured his leg in the fall, he sobbed uncontrollably, gasping for breath.

Black Wind was perplexed by his crying, momentarily forgetting the pain in his leg.

He stared blankly at the crying boy, not knowing what to feel.

After several seconds of dazed silence, he neighed impatiently and struggled to stand on his own.

“Black Wind, wait here. I’ll call for help and get dad to rescue you,” Su Zixuan said.

Finally calming down, he wiped his tears and climbed out of the ditch, then stumbled back home as fast as he could.

Upon hearing his son’s distressed cries, Su Hu borrowed a flatbed cart and asked the Village Chief’s two sons for help. They hurried to the outside of the village to lift Black Wind out of the ditch and brought him back on the cart.

Black Wind was severely injured, with a swollen right hind ankle. Thankfully, his bones were unharmed.

Su Qingluo used her Spiritual Power to relieve the colt’s pain, then crushed medicinal plants with a pestle and applied them to the injured hoof.

Once the pain had subsided, Black Wind blinked his big eyes and affectionately rubbed her wrist as a show of gratitude.

He cast his playful eyes on the foolish boy standing outside the stable. His nose was red from the cold and his eyes were swollen from crying, looking rather pitiful.

Exceptionally, Black Wind didn’t shun him. He bestowed a gaze of pity on him, then stuck his head out from the stable and bit onto his sleeve.

“Black Wind, you finally acknowledged me!”

Overwhelmed with joy, Su Zixuan hugged Black Wind’s neck and cried again uncontrollably.

Black Wind neighed softly, seemingly uncomfortable with the close contact, and tried to shake him off.

But Su Zixuan held on tightly and couldn’t be shaken off. Black Wind could only neigh impatiently and let him continue hugging.

“Brother, you’ve been standing in the cold and have become frozen stiff. Come inside and warm up,” Su Qingluo said, laughing at the amusing interaction between the boy and the horse.

“Doudou, get inside quickly. You didn’t even put on your hat or scarf, and your face has gone red from the cold. Are you trying to scare me to death?” Li Xiu’e exclaimed, barging out of the house and pulling Su Zixuan towards the house without further ado.

At the end of the day, Su Zixuan was just a nine-year-old kid. Being pulled by his mother’s tremendous strength, he staggered and nearly fell over. He had no choice but to let go and follow her into the house.

“Black Wind, my brother genuinely cares for you,” Su Qingluo said, smiling at the scene. With a gentle glowing flicker between her eyebrows, she patted Black Wind’s forehead and softly instructed him.

“You have to behave from now on and stop running around. It’s terribly dangerous to fall into a ditch. Fortunately, my brother found you in time and saved you. If you had stayed in the ditch all night, you would have certainly died,” she said.

“Neigh.”

Understanding her, Black Wind affectionately rubbed her wrist again.

Retreating a few steps, he went back into the stable and obediently allowed her to tether him.

“Good boy.”

After tethering him, Su Qingluo gently patted the horse’s head and left the stable with her medicine pestle.

Su Zixuan caught a cold. He developed a high fever that night. Luckily, Su Qingluo had fever reducing pills on hand. After he drank the pill dissolved in water, his fever broke by dawn and he seemed to regain some of his spirit..
