Qin Zhiyou shifted his gaze back to Secretary Wang, gave him a slight nod, and instructed him on a few work-related matters before striding into the house. As soon as he entered, Aunt Hao approached. He efficiently changed his shoes, handed his bag and coat to Aunt Hao, and then, with one stretch of his arm, he wrapped it around Lu Weixin’s waist, and, straight away, gave her a kiss.
This sudden kiss startled Lu Weixin, especially with Aunt Hao close by and Yang Mogui watching them. She didn’t resist, simply allowing him to kiss her. Just moments ago, she had noticed Qin Zhiyou’s indifferent gaze and calm demeanor, indicating that he wasn’t particularly eager to see her. Why was he all affectionate now?
After the kiss, Qin Zhiyou hugged her waist and whispered into her ear, “My mom is watching; let’s act affectionate.”
After hearing this, Lu Weixin, although she still felt a bit stiff, at least didn’t resist him anymore.
As expected, Yang Mogui, upon seeing the couple’s intimacy, asked, “Didn’t you say you weren’t coming back?”

Lu Weixin furrowed her brows, utterly perplexed. In order to hasten his mom’s departure, Qin Zhiyou took the extreme measure of eating from her bowl!
She lost her appetite for food and just wanted to finish her meal hastily. However, Qin Zhiyou noticing that she was only eating rice and not the dishes, served her some vegetables saying, “Eat quickly.”
Lu Weixin did not feel like touching her chopsticks, but Qin Zhiyou’s expression made it clear that she had no choice but to comply.
Eating without relish and wolfing down her food, together with her bad mood, made her want nothing more than to get away from it all.
