Chapter 27 - A Strange Habit
“When did Dad start this long-winded routine?”
Jiang's father exclaimed, pushing the cart away at that moment.
“Old Guo, let's get going. We need to hit the market stall!”
“Right with you!”
Jiang's mother nodded, then gave Jiang Hao a smile, who stood there somewhat stupefied.
“Your father is spot on. Keep those nine million for yourself!”
With that, she turned and walked away alongside Jiang's father.
Meanwhile, Jiang Zixuan, who had been reading nearby, wore a smug expression as she taunted.
“Jiang Hao, are you still daydreaming? It's broad daylight already, what's got you lost in thought? Nine million?”
“If you've got nine million, I must have ten million! Sadly, it's ten million for the dearly departed!”
With a chuckle, Jiang Zixuan carried her book and headed back to her room.
Jiang Hao spun around, pointing at Jiang Zixuan.
“Jiang Zixuan, you!”

The sound of the door closing cut off Jiang Hao.
Jiang Hao let out a resigned sigh, lowering his hand and talking to himself.
“Alright, you guys don't believe me, huh? Looks like I need to show you!”
With that, he headed back to his room to freshen up, then left.
“Should I start by buying a house or perhaps a car?”
While pondering this, Jiang Hao suddenly recalled that his nine million yuan still existed in the form of three checks. He hadn't exchanged them for cash yet.
“I should probably visit the bank and convert them into cash first.”
With this in mind, Jiang Hao grabbed his ID card and set off to exchange the checks at the bank.
The initial stages of the exchange were a bit tricky. After all, Jiang Hao was just 18 years old. He presented a 9-million-yuan check for conversion, raising some suspicions.

A few idle salespeople chatted amongst themselves.
Among them, the female sales reps noticed Jiang Hao's sporty attire. His youthful face caught their attention, yet none approached him.
One of them nudged another saleswoman and remarked.
“Mei, a customer just arrived. You should go attend to him. He might be a young master!”
The female sales rep turned to look at Jiang Hao and couldn't resist a tease.
“Hong, why don't you go? He looks so tender; he might have just weaned.”
Jiang Hao's clothing was equally telling - a 100-yuan sports suit paired with sneakers worth a few tens of yuan. He hardly resembled a young master!
“Haha, maybe the current young master has taken up this style?”
Just as the group was bantering about Jiang Hao, a girl, not exceptionally tall but notably pretty with a slightly youthful appearance, happened to approach.
Mei spotted her and quickly called out.
“Xu Jia, come here for a moment!”
Xu Jia complied, rushing over, her manner somewhat restrained.
“Mei, why did you call me?”
