Chapter 543: Time To Witness A Miracle

In a room permeated with a faint youthful scent, Yaeger slowly opened her eyes, feeling an immediate hint of mental fatigue. She had spent an excessive amount of time in the game today, leading to considerable fatigue.
"Since I started learning the [Green Emperor's Longevity Manual], my recovery ability has significantly improved." Sitting up and gently clenching her fists, Yaeger noticed her slight fatigue had already vanished. "Soon, I might not even feel fatigued from gaming at all."
Playing the game for twenty-four hours straight was no longer just a dream.
Exiting the room, she entered the expansive hall, where her expression instantly changed upon seeing the two gremlins watching videos. Normally, this would be fine, but they were watching indescribable action movies.
The screen projected in the air showed two beautiful girls engaged in an intense fight, accompanied by long-lasting, mind-numbing noises.
"What are you doing?" Yaeger asked in exasperation.
"Ah!" Vera 17 exclaimed, startled.
However, Little Blue appeared calm, seemingly anticipating her master's arrival. "Master, have you finished your tasks?" she asked, turning around with a smile.
"How can you watch something like this?" Yaeger exclaimed as she walked over and knocked their heads.
"Ouch! That hurts!"
"Master, you're being too harsh!"
They both groaned in pain, their eyes brimming with tears, which was admittedly adorable.
"You two are still young, and these action movies are a bad influence. As your master, it's my duty to educate you properly," Yaeger said, placing her hands on her hips as she began her lecture.
"Sob, sob, sob. Master, I'm not young anymore. In human years, I'm several thousand years old," Little Blue lamented sorrowfully.
"Several thousand" Vera 17's eyelids twitched in disbelief. No way!'
She then added sorrowfully, "I'm already twenty-five years old. I can watch whatever I want"
Yaeger came to a realization upon hearing this. Little Blue was a higher lifeform from the Archeozoic Era, truly more than a few thousand years old. Meanwhile, Vera 17's original form had been the legendary [E-fairy] for a long time. She was definitely not youngtwenty-five was actually her age.
However, both appeared as twelve-year-olds externally, a fact so confusing that Yaeger had forgotten their true ages. After a moment of silence, she said, "Even if you both are adults, you shouldn't be watching these films in public."
They exchanged looks and pouted in dissatisfaction.
"Did you hear what I said?" Yaeger abruptly pinched their ears and twisted hard.
Two sharp screams echoed through the hall. After instructing the pair, Yaeger donned a disguise, descended to the ground, and called Mylene to change the meeting location.
Fifteen minutes later, in a park. Under the orange glow of a street lamp, a figure appeared.
"This place is so quiet. There's no one around, quite a contrast to KFC." Yaeger, leaning against a tree, spoke calmly.
At this hour, almost no one visited such a secluded park. It was typically deserted.
After a few minutes, a small figure sprinted over, carrying a metal case half her height and a satchel on her back.
"Sister!" exclaimed Mylene. Dressed in a snow-white dress, black gloves, and white sneakers, she radiated energy.
"There you are," Yaeger said, standing upright and waving.
"Yes, sorry for keeping you waiting!" Mylene said as she bounded over and set down the heavy metal case.
Yaeger stroked her head and said, "Thank you for your hard work."
"Heheh!" Mylene's face lit up with a pleased expression, her heart swelling with joy.
"You didn't miss a single drop?" asked Yaeger.
"Yes, not a single drop," Mylene affirmed with a nod.
"Very good," Yaeger affirmed.
"Sister, why do you need Vera 18's fluids?" asked Mylene, her curiosity piqued.
"It's a secret for now, but I'll tell you later," Yaeger replied.
"Sure, I'm looking forward to it," Mylene smiled. "By the way, sister, I've prepared some snacks. Why don't we enjoy them here? I've even brought black tea."
"Yes," Yaeger nodded.
"Also, why don't we invite my brother? I've always wanted you to meet him! Give me a minute; I'll call him right now!"
Before Yaeger could respond, Mylene quickly took out her phone and dialed Yaeger's number using her stylus pen.
The phone emitted a series of beeps.
As soon as Mylene pressed call', Yaeger felt her bag vibrate slightly. Inside was her BigMi phone. She carried two phones with her. Yaeger used the BigMi, while Yae-hime used the Huawhey. Each represented a different identity.
At that moment, Yaeger thought, That was close! Good thing I planned ahead before going out,' feeling a surge of relief.
Had her phone rung out loud at that moment, she would have been utterly bewildered.
"He forgot his phone? My brother can be so careless!" After failing to get a response twice, Mylene ended the call, pouting as she turned to Yaeger. "Sister, it seems my brother is busy. We'll just have to meet another time."
Internally, Yaeger thought, There won't be a next time,' but she replied anyway, "Yes, I'm looking forward to it."
Following some light conversation, they spread a picnic cloth on the grass. Mylene pulled several food containers and a thermal flask from her satchel. They enjoyed a delightful time together.
Once sated, they parted ways. Mylene headed back to her apartment at the Ability Management Department. Yaeger, with a heavy metal case in hand, returned to the [City of Chaos].
On the black table in the main hall lay a pool of mysterious fluids.
"Vera 18, your death was so tragic!" Vera 17 screamed. She expressed deep sympathy for her kin.
"How interesting," Little Blue remarked, intrigued as she stared at the fluids.
"Don't bother me," Yaeger said as she picked up the two small creatures in front of the fluid and set them aside.
"Master, what are you going to do with this mucus?" Little Blue asked, tilting her head in confusion.
"Are you going to turn it into jelly and eat it?" Vera 17 exclaimed in surprise.
She received a fist to the skull for her comment.
"Is eating all you think about?"
"If you're not going to eat it, then what?" Little Blue asked.
Yaeger responded in kind.
"Ouch!"
After disciplining them, Yaeger turned her attention to the fluids on the table, bright green flames igniting in her hands.
Seeing the flames, Vera 17's pupils shrank in sudden realization. "Could it be?"
"What do you know?" For the first time, Little Blue looked at Vera 17 with genuine admiration.
It was impressive that Vera 17 knew something Little Blue did not.
"I don't know," Vera 17 admitted, shaking her head.
With a thump, Little Blue slumped onto the table in frustration, realizing that expecting anything from Vera 17 was futile.
"It's time to witness a miracle," Yaeger announced.
At that moment, Yaeger's gaze sharpened, and she thrust her hands, ablaze with green flame, directly into the fluid.
