Chapter 266 - Serve As Bodyguard

Dean walked down the hospital corridor where Dany and Bryana were. He seemed to be in a hurry to run down a white corridor that looked quite crowded with many visitors.

until a few minutes down the winding corridor, he finally saw Bryana was sitting quietly with a man in front of the operating room. Yes, it turns out that Dany had to undergo surgery because he had a blood clot in his head.

"Honey," Dean called as he approached Bryana.

suddenly Bryana and Fin turned to look at Dean who had just arrived. The woman immediately stood up and hugged her husband, making the man who secretly admired her feel an attack in his heart.

'Dammit?' Fin thought with a look of disapproval and even tightened his jaw, but he tried to look casual to win Dean and Bryana's sympathy.

"Are you hurt? Did they touch you?" Dean asked as he let go of Bryana's arms.

Bryana shook her head in tears that just fell. "No, I'm okay but Dany's wound is so bad, he even needs surgery," she answered sadly.

Dean sighed then hugged Bryana again, trying to calm her down. He could even feel his wife shaking, breaking out in cold sweat, and her face looking pale. His gaze shifted to Fin who was sitting in the waiting chair.

"Who's he?" he asked.

Bryana let go of Dean's arms and turned to look at Fin who looked awkward at her husband's gaze. "He was the one who helped me when Dany was injured. I could only stay in the car and he tried to fight the thugs until they all ran away," she replied.

Dean was silent for a moment staring at the man who looked foreign with a white face and a manly posture that almost matched his body. "Thank you for helping my wife," he said.

"I just happened to be passing by and did what I was supposed to do when I saw a woman who didn't have the strength to fight them," Fin replied with a warm smile.

Dean walked over to Fin, then sat beside him followed by Bryana. "You managed to fight so many thugs that even my Bodyguard couldn't control. Do you have any martial skills or… are you good at fighting?" he asked.

"I'm just a security guard, but... I just got laid off," Fin replied with a faint smile.

"Oh, why did you get laid off?" asked Dean.

"Because I often come late. It's all because my house is far from where I work and I don't have a vehicle," explained Fin by lowering his status.

Dean nodded in understanding then glanced at Bryana who wrapped her arms around his arm and rested her head on his shoulder. "Alright, don't worry. We just pray that Dany can survive and return to normal," he exclaimed.

"Those thugs are not thugs who look scary like Bodyguards or Gustave's men who used to attack us, but they are very dangerous and brutal saw for myself how they slyly hit Dany's head with a rock. It looks very painful," said Bryana, remembering the incident earlier.

"Who are they? Could it be that someone else wants our family's destruction?" Dean began to wonder.

"I suspect that they're Alex's or Carlos's errands. They're the only ones who always bother us apart from Gustave. Now that Gustave is dead, then who else if not they are behind all this?" Bryana had already accused, then let go of her hand on Dean's arm. she looked at her husband intensely. "I got worried about the kids."

"They'll be fine," Dean said calmly because all he was worried about was the safety of Bryana who seemed to be the main target.

"I want Alex or Carlos to be arrested immediately," Bryana said sadly.

"We can't just arbitrarily arrest because we don't have any evidence," Dean retorted. "For the time being, you have to get tighter security because we were the main target of the thugs. I don't want something like that to happen again."

"I also don't know why someone is attacking again. I thought after Gustave's death, we don't have any more enemies, but in fact...." Bryana looked sad, especially since the operating room door was still tightly closed, there was no news about Dany's condition.

"Don't be afraid, I will be the protector of our family. Do you know that I often work from home to always take care of you and the kids? So don't worry too much." Dean hugged Bryana from the side, trying to calm her down.

Seeing Bryana and Dean sitting hugging each other besides him, made Fin feel jealous and the fire of jealousy burned, making him want to snatch Bryana from Dean even more.

"Ehemm...I think I have to go now because you have accompanied Mrs. Bryana," he said with a fake smile looking at Dean and Bryana.

"Em, if I may ask, where are you going?" asked Dean.

"I'm having an interview at a company that might accept me as a new employee," Fin answered as he stood up.

dean let go of Bryana's arms and then stood up and looked at Fin who looked so dashing and right to be a bodyguard, especially since he had managed to beat a thug who was called scary by his wife. "What if you work for me. I promise to give you a big enough salary."

"Working with you, you mean?" Fin looked clueless.

"Being a bodyguard to keep my family safe, especially my wife because Dany is sick. I need a new Bodyguard and it looks like you are qualified because you are also the one who helped my wife selflessly," explained Dean occasionally turning to look at Bryana who was sitting in a chair.

Bryana got up from the chair, stood next to Dean, and looked at Fin expectantly. "Instead of you working elsewhere, it's better to work at our place. I will pay you the same as Dany's salary, who has become our family's mainstay bodyguard," she said.

"Are you sure? I'm afraid I won't be able to do this job?" asked Fin with an innocent expression.

Dean sighed, then embraced Bryana from the side. "You don't need to worry, because your job is only to help me. I will take care of my wife," he said casually looking at Fin.

fin was silent with annoyance in his heart because it turned out that he was only in charge of helping, not taking care of Bryana alone. 'But I must not waste this opportunity. The most important thing is that I can be close to her, and maybe I can make her interested in me because she's the type of woman who is generous to people who are lower than her,' he thought.

"Think of it as a reply because you have helped me. You can be a permanent bodyguard for our family," said Bryana still with a tinge of sadness on her face.

"Okay then, I will work for you. I will do anything for your safety," said Fin with a small smile.

Dean and Bryana nodded and smiled in relief at Fin's willingness to be their bodyguard. Hopefully, Dean will always take care of Bryana, so that Fin doesn't have a chance to approach his wife.
