Jax Cole, a Hero betrayed and on the verge of death after assassinating the Demon King and fleeing from King Charles III, awakens alone and naked on a remote island. His arrival, a result of an escape magic scroll, places him in a location unreachable by the outside world, surrounded by powerful sea beasts. There, he is discovered and healed by Manaia, the enigmatic matriarch of the White-tailed Deer Tribe, and her curious young village women.

Despite his critical condition, Jax demonstrates his power by repelling a brutal incursion of orcs and goblins with a simple stick, saving the tribe from impending tragedy and earning their astonishment. As he recovers under Manaia's care, the truth of his past as a demon assassin is revealed, cementing his status as their savior.
