When Rosalind follows her father to a grand banquet in the kingdom of Eryndor, she expects nothing but humiliation as her father intends to pawn her off to settle his gambling debts. Rosalind is fiercely unwilling to be controlled and is definitely unprepared for the attention of King Alaric, the kingdom’s feared tyrant whose dangerous charm and ruthless reputation make the bravest men tremble and women weak in their knees.
