In the twilight of his life, legendary magician Ambrose Jenkins found himself unable to afford a Potion of Youth. The high elves—those damned beansprouts!—had jacked up prices again. To prolong his life, Ambrose had no other option than to become an undead, a lich.

The two thoughts that plagued him during the transformation, and which would thereby remain with him for good, were: Damn those high elves! I’ll never go without gold again!
