PLOTLINE

A. EXPOSITION

Ava and Lucas have been together for the duration of years. She has eloped with him against her family's wishes.

For the duration of their relationship, Lucas had been using her to extort money from her family members to fund his lifestyle.

But, Ava was blind to all of this because she was deeply in love with him. She was always willing to be used to extract money.

Unknown to her, Lucas had been secretly feeding her birth control while publicly shaming her for being barren.

Ava visits various fertility clinics, doing everything that she can in order to get pregnant for Lucas who shames her.

B. INCITING INCIDENT

Lucas throws a congratulatory party after successfully acquiring a company with the funds he had used Ava to extort.

A woman named Cynthia comes to the event with twin children, a boy and a girl and asks to see Lucas.

Ava watches as Lucas and Cynthia have a small altercation from the other side of the hall, so she goes to them.

But, Lucas tells her that is nothing and Cynthia is just a colleague from work. And when Ava insists, Lucas spits fire.

He publicly berates Ava for being childless and goes as far as to call her damaged goods in front of everyone.

She is heartbroken, runs off into the garden where she cries her heart out in pain and ends up falling asleep.

She awakens to hushed voices talking and overhears Lucas speaking with Cynthia.

Lucas tells Cynthia that once everything was over, he would dump Ava because she was worthless to him now.

She also discovers in a crushing revelation that she couldn’t get pregnant because he frequently laces her drink with contraceptives.

And, the twin children was him and he had all along been married to Cynthia.

Ava is devasted as she comes out of hiding to confront Lucas head on.

There is no even remorse as Lucas reveals this was all planned from the beginning.

He tells her that he had never loved her and had only wanted her for her money and the connections that came with it.

But, Ava is more shaken when she hears that the business empire they had built on her father's money was registered entirely in Lucas's name.

Lucas unveils more betrayals as he tells her how he had stolen the $50 million from her accounts and sold her mother's priceless heirloom for $30 million.

Lucas thanks her for finding out the truth so soon and conviniently hands her the divorce papers and a check of $5,000.

He tells her that it was more than she was worth and then kicks her out with nothing but the clothes on her back.

And just like that, Ava hits rock bottom for the first time in history.

She wanders the streets half insane and nearly gets hit by Alpha Brian's car.

He recognizes her and informs her that her father had died in battle while calling her name with his last breath.

Her mother had also passed away a few months ago from liver cancer.

Ava is completely shattered as Alpha Brian take
